About Travel Mazi Mou

Happy is the man, I thought, who, before dying, has the good fortune to sail the Aegean sea.

Krystina Kalapothakos

Chef Krystina is a Greek-American, born in Sacramento, CA and currently resides in the foothills of Northern California.

Chef Krystina has a rich ancestry in Greek culture in that her father is 100% Greek, having been born in Mani, Greece. While she enjoys the history of both her parents through American
and Greek cultures, her heart has always longed for traditions passed down through her father and paternal grandmother. Growing up in a household of Greek customs, she learned to cook and prepare cultural dishes such as Spanakopita, Lemon Patates, Baklava, and Greek bread.
Krystina went on to work and live part-time in Greece as an adult and is a graduate of the Cordon Bleu Academy here in the USA. Moreover, Chef Krystina was raised on a lavender farm
in Northern California, as her family grew and produced an array of lavender products and still do to this day.

Chef Krystina has an immense LOVE for sharing her Greek culture and especially the cuisine with you. Travel Mazi Mou was created to bring a small group of people together to explore Greece and the many gems the country has to offer.  Our small groups include no more than 10 people making this an intimate and personal experience. LIVE LIKE A LOCAL with us and come explore the many treasures of our Greek culture via Travel Mazi Mou.
